Seth Rogen brings PBR to the 'Sausage Party' red carpet
Seth Rogen is an innovator — but not because he drinks beer while doing red carpet interviews.
“It’s a Pabst,” he told us at a Lower East Side screening of his animated film “Sausage Party.” Rogen confessed this isn’t the first time a can of beer has been carried onto a red carpet.
“No, not by a longshot,” he laughed.
Rogen does however take credit for being a pioneer in dirty cartoon making.
“(This film is) Very R-Rated,” he bragged. “One of the most R-rated movies most people will probably ever have seen … It’s the first ever fully CG R-rated movie.”
According to Rogen, “Sausage Party” had to be butchered a bit because it was so smutty.
“There is a scene at the end that will probably turn out to be one of the dirtiest things you’ve seen in a movie,” he warned. “It was a little bit dirtier. And we had to just trim it back microscopically in order to get it where it was.”
For Rogen, the wacky notion of making an animated film about the trials and tribulations of talking food was an idea that just spoke to him.
“Some things are just beautifully kismet is the word,” he explained.
Rogen, 34, says his body tells him what to eat these days.
“I’m just at the age where if I’m not generally healthy, I feel like sh-t and am in physical pain all the time,” he said. “So I have to eat well and exercise, or I am literally in immense pain.”
Also attending the screening at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema, where someone dressed as a hot dog walked the red carpet, were actors James Franco and Paul Rudd, chef Anne Burrell and food writer Gail Simmons.
